The Rose Breasted Cockatoo (aka Galah) are native to Austrailia. They are extremely abundant in the wild. The Galah has not been exported from Australia to the United States since the 1950's. The Rose Breasted Cockatoos are not found in large numbers in American Aviculture. They make a delightful pet and are a wonderful companion. They are talkative and affectionate but far less demanding than their white Cockatoo cousins. Extremely intelligent they are easily trained to mimic human speech as well as to perform tricks. Rose Breasted Cockatoos love to entertain and put on a show.  If your looking for a extrovert in the Parrot world, you will love a "Rosy".
