The Congo African Grey has become the single most popular Parrot to own in the United States. What is not to love about them, they are the Einsteins of the bird world. Grey's are entertaining but not in the way a Cockatoo would entertain you doing tricks, oh no they tend to be more of an intellectual - asking you questions and making funny sounds. In short they are quite entertaining, loveable animals whose primary purpose in your home is to keep you on your toes. Somewhat shy around strangers, Greys tend to bond to one person if they don't interact with other people often. They are a delight to own and if handled regularly from a baby, can become quite affectionate. African Greys are highly intelligent and require stimulation. It is recommended you maintain a large array of toys for the bird to play with.
